So I purchased a gigabyte aorus xtreme 1080 ti and found that the PCIE sockets (2 8 pins) were faulty. When I would plug in the PCIE cables into the GPU a white LED (located on the GPU near the pcie pins) would turn on (which indicates that the PCIE cables are not properly plugged in), the strange thing was that the fans and the cosmetic lighting on the actual GPU would work fine.
I have ordered a replacement already but was wondering if updating the bios would fix the issue.
Motherboard - gigabyte 970a-ds3p
PSU - EVGA SuperNova P2 850 WATT
