CPU heating up faster than an astronaut on the Sun

Hey guys.
I have a problem. I was moving the mobo and when I was loosening a screw, my clumsy hands hit a small component and tear it off.
Here's a photo:

I think that area is from the audio part, but still unsure. As a side note, I did move the mobo recently A LOT and my 4 fan 1 kg radiator was kind of pulling on the CPU cooler part.
I didn't get to test the sound, because the CPU is heating 1 deg/sec ( not kidding ). It reached 100 degs and turned it off instantly. I can't even stay in BIOS for too long because it goes to 80+ fast.
All of these in idle.

So either that's a temperature sensor component and it shows bad temp or I moved the cooler SO hard, the thermal paste is messed up.
I will change the paste these days, but I want to ask your opinion.
A CPU without paste( I should have some still) and a cooler don't transfer heat at all? It's freaking idle...

Now, I'm also considering I broke the motherboard and I need to buy new gear.
Give me your input please.
- i7 6700k + z170
- i7 5820k + x99
- some Kaby X CPU and mobo? i5 7640x (5.2 Ghz looks nice) or cheapest i7
I don't do heavy stuff, just gaming. I want to upgrade to a 4790k on my current mobo, if it's not damaged. I know the 5820k is overkill, but the price difference from 6700k is like 50E, so manageable.

Thank you for the help.
Regards.

Solution
When the CPU temperature rises that quickly it is an indication of poor contact (i.e. insufficient clamping pressure) of the CPU cooler's base plate with the CPU's heat spreader.

Make sure that the CPU cooler is properly mounted.

Well it was properly mounted. I had it like this for 1 month, with no issues. I'll remount it. Do I need to apply new paste if I take the cooler off?

Thanks for the help, glad the mobo isn't ruined.

Got home and tried tightening the screws. They were very loose... Damn thing.
I tighten it and tested the temp, its still rising, but very slowly, most likely the paste is messed up. I will replace it tomorrow.
Thank you for the help.
Regards.

Update: the thermal paste did nothing.
I took out every fan there is and left only the pump. I don't hear anything. The liquid exhaust pipe is hot only at the beginning, at the end is cool.
The pump is silent, but I can't feel any movement, nor sound... It's 3 weeks old. This must be it, right?
I should of stayed with air cooler. I'm done with water cooling before even getting started...
