Dear Community,

I wanted to ask what ddr4 ram speed I should use with my Asus Prime X370 Pro motherboard. Should I stay at 2666mhz to stay on warranty and not overclock. Or 3000mhz and the motherboard taking it to 2900. Both are listed on the QVL and are corsair brand. I was also wondering if it is hard to overclock ram on the board for members who currently own the motherboard. Thank you for your time.

Overcloking memory isn't very hard as long as the motherboard is designed to overclock and the RAM is designed to do this as well. Most PC's run the most efficient between 2133 to 3200. Once you pass 3200, things become different and whatnot.

Watch this video from LTT...they do a better job explaining and I think it answers your questions.
