Whenever i try to turn on my pc, it starts for like couple sec and powers off on its own, sometimes this message pops up on my monitor saying "The main BIOS has corrupted. The system will be recovered from the Backup BIOS. Please DO NOT turn off the power or reset the system. This may take a few minutes." i constantly get that message, sometimes my pc wont even turn on, if it does somehow it says"Reboot and Select proper Boot device or Insert Boot Media in selected Boot Device and press a key." I do not know whats wrong with it anymore, i have opened up my computer and put everything back like cables and gpu, cpu nothing seemed to be working,. It was working just fine. I tried to boot the system from os drive in the dvd drive but the bios doesnt detect the dvd drive as boot option so i am out of clues on what might be causing this, please i really need help ty. btw my motherboard ishttps://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/GA-Z77-HD3-rev-10#ov

Is the system running on Windows 7 or 10?

Please tell us your complete system specs with models so that we can have a better idea of whats happening.

One thing you can try is resetting your CMOS by locating the round, flat, silver battery on the motherboard and carefully remove it. Wait five minutes before reseating the battery. Then boot the PC back up and see if it works.

If it doesnt work, then we definitely need yours systems specs to continue.

Did this start happening after an OC tweak?

I'm concerned about the corrupt bios.
Say you are able to recover the bios. I think the next step is to repair the O/S.
On another computer you can download using windows tool and create iso to burn or fat32 file for usb stick..

I've had this problem happen where I was not able to boot into windows because MBR master boot record was messed.

Sorry I am on my phone was trying to find the reply button, the windows was working fine even with the corrupt bios but it wouldn't turn on most of the time if it did it would shut off on its own winthin couple secs and it was annoying , reboot and select proper device came after I tried to re do my cables, I've had that fixed before using my os drive, what I did was inserted my os disc into the dvd drive and went into bios and selected the DVD drive as boot option now the boot option as a DVD drive doesn't even show up On bios but if I insert my USB disc it shows up on my bios as a boot option.

Turn off all the power to your computer. Flip the little switch on the back of the power supply to off if there is one. If not pull the plug from it. Open the case and remove the little battery on the motherboard. Let it sit one minute. Put the battery back in then fire it up. This will reset the bios. Then come back here and tell use what happened.

That motherboard has 2 bios chips in it. Highly unlikely both are corrupted, unless of course a virus got to them. Which is rare. The master boot record is part of the disk drive not the bios.
