Don't have the full cash to upgrade my mainboard, but could these specs run a GTX 1080?

-Brand new 650W Coolermaster power supply
-ASUS P6T Motherboard
-Intel i7-920 2.66Ghz w/ stock cooler
-PNY - 16GB (2x8GB) PC3-14900 DDR3 RAM
-PCIe USB 3 adapter card

I checked out PCparts picker and they say compatible, but I'm skeptical! Thanks in advance! :) Novice enthusiast here trying to figure everything out!

Whats more lmportant, what monitor do you use at what resolution and refreh rate? What fps do you spect from the pc and it what games? you could get an aftermarket cpu Cooler and try to oc That cpu is still capable. There is always a limiting factor your i7 might be fine with a mild oc. You could list full system specs with monitor and games you want to play at targeted settings.

I doubt you'll reach the potential of the 1080 card, but it certainly won't be the GPU that slows you down. You'll get the best gaming experience that your current CPU can offer, and the 1080 will still be relevant when you go to upgrade your main board.
