i recently got into the whole pc side of things and bought a pre built asus G11 series with like this crappy asus express mobo. i decided to upgrade and build my own, but keep the graphics card, ssd, and hdd. i installed the motherboard, everything booted up and ive been using it fine for the past couple of days with a complete recovery from my storage drives. Now today i had just found out that my old drivers from the previous motherboard in the pre built pc could be clashing with my new drivers and i could be getting some performance issues considering i didnt do any sort of clean install of my windows 10 64 bit OS.
Now what i want to do is a clean install of my OS, but im not entirely sure of the approach im thinking of taking. i want to create a windows 10 recovery drive, format both my hdd and ssd (yes i know it will uninstall everything like my apps and games and stuff, but thats fine) and then boot it up and clean install windows 10 on the new motherboard. What issues could i possibly run into? is this safe to do? and will i only have my new motherboards drivers?

Specs:

Solution
you could try simply go into cntrl panel/system/device manager/system devices, delete everything chipset related, and reboot, having your mainboard drivers disks handy...
