I have a seagate 3,5'' HDD (31000524AS) and I want to change to a SSHD drive that I bought (ST1000DX002). Since my PC is a pre-built from DELL (XPS 8500), I can't really access the power supply so I don't think that I can add a cable for my new drive. I decided to buy a SATA to USB 3.0 cable to transfer the data from the old drive to the new one but the drive connected via SATA to USB cable is not detected in the BIOS or even in the drive section of computer management.
What could possible be wrong? How could I make this work?
