Hello. I currently have a cyberpowerpc (http://www.bestbuy.com/site/cyberpowerpc-gamer-ultra-desktop-amd-fx-series-16gb-memory-2tb-hard-drive-black-blue/4592900.p?skuId=4592900) and I would like to upgrade from the AMD Radeon R7 250. I use HDMI and play on a 40" tv if that helps. I try to be as computer saavy as I can, but I think I'm a bit out of my league here, so I came to y'all for help. My budget tops out at about $300, but I'd also go more if it's a significant difference. The 250 just seems out of place in this PC.

Also, if you wouldn't mind viewing the specs on this prebuilt and recommending any major upgrades I should do, I'd really appreciate it. I worked very hard to save up to finally be able to buy a true gaming PC (I had a Dell with WinXP on it before this. This machine feels like Godzilla compared to the ant I just had.)

Lastly, and I'm sorry for asking so many questions, but should I move back to a monitor over a TV? I love how huge the games I play are with this TV but if it's going to be a hindrance to performance in any way, I would move back.

Thank you so much for reading and I appreciate your help ahead of time. :)

Hi there,

From a gamer to gamer, WELCOME!! Worked my a** off on minimum wage to buy my rig lol. Let's get into it.

I see you have an FX AMD FX 8320. It's of the last generation, now that Ryzen is out and X370 motherboards. You are also using DDR3 rams, which means if you are looking for the best gaming experience, you need to upgrade the mobo+cpu+RAM which is going to cost you around 400$.

Now let's leave that for later and give you the best you can with the current rig. Since you are playing on a TV (which is totally fine), you need a better graphics card. Unfortunately your CPU will bottleneck any new card you put in there. R7 is old A* (lol just being honest) and I recommend you upgrade to a GTX 1050 Ti. It will cost you about...

I recommend you save the rest of the money and do a major upgrade when you think you can afford it (~400-600$)

That being said, with the 150$ GTX 1050Ti, you will experience way better performance on your TV. (224% better to be exact lol) SEE HERE.

You can also get a GTX 1060 but nonetheless, your CPU will bottleneck your GPU. GTX 1060 will last you longet though.

Find GTX 1050Ti here.

Find GTX 1060 here.

I recommend This card for GTX 1060
And this card for GTX 1050Ti.
Good Luck!
