Hello everyone,

I just purchased and installed battlefield 4 but im experiencing some problems.First of all its taking like 4-5 minutes to load a multiplayer/campaign map but that should be due to having only 4gb ram.Anyway I press play and I go at fire range to see how the controlls work and set the graphics. The nvidia software sets them between high and ultra while the game auto option sets them to all medium. Both medium and high settings were running smooth on 90 fps without any problem. Now when I got in a multiplayer match the game was just unplayable, huge fps drops and freezes every 2-3 seconds even on medium settings. Then I joined an another server in a different map and everything was running fine like in fire range in high settings too.Despites that match every match i played after that fps kept dropping and freezing like before.

I searched some solutions on the internet.I was thinking that it surely is doing it because of my 4gb ram.So I did a clean boot but still no fix.By the way I dont have any other programms or browsers open while playing,pc was formatted about a monh ago(running windows10),already checked for virus with malwarebytes, asc, iobit, resolution is set as it should (1360x768) and I run the game in fullscreen.I unistalled and installed again all gpu drivers about 2 weeks ago(before installing bf4)

Im really confused because I dont know if It surely is caused of ram or is something else.Any help?

I dont know if that helps but I run these games on high-ultra smoothly above 60 fps apart from dirt4 which rarely has some 1 sec freezes and payday2 which has a very few fps drops;Skyrim,cs go,Sniper elite 3,heroes and generals, warface, dirt 3 and a few more.

Solution
4gb of ram is not enough for bf4 especially in multiplayer.your cpu and ram will work harder in multiplayer trying to send data/signal for your gpu to render.u will experience stutter as it will eat up that 4gb ram and start using your disk as swap file to coupe for the insufficient ram.(the os and processes itself will already take some space of the ram so a clean boot wont help much).i suggest getting 8gb of ram as bf4 can easily uses up to 6gb of ram and u need some left for your OS.so for bf4 and bf1,the more ram the better.
