I have 2 PC's and have a confusion in choosing the better gaming config between them it may be an obvious choice but still i want to be clear
My GPU is RX 570 Nitro +
So my current PC is i5 3570k Stock,2x4GB DDR3 1600Mhz with rx 570, Intel DH77KC Mobo.
Will the gaming performance be better in this config i3 6098p,1x8GB DDR4 2400Mhz,Gigabyte h110m-s2 Mobo?
Should i stick with my older config for gaming or shift to new one
Overclocking is not an option for me since getting a suitable z77 mobo in india is difficult and i'm broke :/

Solution
depends on the game to be honest...
games that need more single-core power definitely likes the newer gen i3
games that requires more multi-core processing power will prefer the i5's real core rather than the hyperthreading (GTA etc)
but if i were u, i would stick with the i5 for a little while longer, it's still pretty good for now..
(since gaming is not the only thing i want to do, i want to try stream and stuff too)

again, it depends on what kind of games u play, if u don't play games with big maps like GTA, Skyrim, etc, the newer gen will have better performance

You better stick with the older i5 because newer games require more threads and still that is a capable processor than newer i3s. If you looking for considerable difference, at least go for an i5 or may be a ryzen.

I'm just a casual gamer, I mostly play MOBA games like Dota,Doom and CS but i also play GTA V, Quantum Break, Rise of Tomb Raider, Watch Dogs 2(The most CPU hungry) and other intensive titles.

well then stick with the i5, real physical cores done better job than virtual one (hyperthreading),or if i can give u a suggestion, u can sell the i3 CPU only and the whole i5 rig (not the GPU of course), then get a new gen i7 instead, like 6700 maybe (if the money is enough) they will perform way better especially in GTA, Watch Dogs 2, and those kind of game

though if ur money is still not enough sticking with the i5 is better, newer games will utilize more cores, even the games nowdays will perform much more stable and have less dips if u had more cores/threads, that's why people are praising Ryzen nowdays for giving us more cores and threads at lower price tag (than the intel's i7 / Extreme series)

Maybe i will try overclocking when i get the right z77 mobo its overpriced in india due to unavailability :(

i know the feel bro, my rig right now is in the same gen as yours, im also looking for a CPU replacement (old pentium sucks) even with the availability, u might need to reconsider before changing mobo, especially if ur windows is original, since changing ur mobo might means getting a new windows license too (i heard only retail version can last on 3 mobo)

btw, if u need a gaming friend, u can add my steam :D i also play CSGO, Dota, and GTA V :D
