How many fans can I use on B250F??

Solution
The B250F has a total of 5x fan headers, while the Z270F has a total of 6x fan headers.

The main reason for going from a B250F to a Z270F should not be the number of fan headers, but your intention to overclock and the CPU you will plug in the motherboard (if it is overclockable or not). The B250F is the logical choice if your CPU is a non-K; the Z270F is the logical choice if your CPU is a K (e.g., i5-7600K or i7-7700K).

As to the total number of fans you can install directly on (powered by) the motherboard, you can plug in 1, 2, 3, 4, 5... fans on a single header by using a fan splitter. So, technically, you can have as many as you want, provided, the total ampere draw of all the fans connected to one header should be less...

As to the total number of fans you can install in your PC, you can also have as many as you want, but the governing/limiting factor is the total fan mounting locations of your case. This can be achieved whether you plug all your fans to be powered by your motherboard or plug some fans directly powered by your PSU or some fan hub.
