I have a brand new pc build at hand and I ran into the "fans spin, no beep, no display" issue. I've completed the checklist on these forums for such an issue with no luck. I am able to get the Asus "no ram detected" beep code when no ram is inserted. So far I have gone as far as to completely replace my ram with a different one and my mb with a new one of the exact same model. I'd consider thr PSU functional since I get the same results with a proven to function PSU.
Could it really be the case that my brand new carefully handled and properly installed intel CPU is really dead from the factory?
