yes im trying to do cheap mining aready changed the psu into a 850wh gold psu and set the riaser but whit 1 card it work prfectly and my old core 2 duo e8400 can run both card

Was your old core 2 duo a completely different computer with a different motherboard?

Your 480 is an EFI only card and so your Optiplex 390, if even available, will likely require a bios update to support current gen cards.

Good look getting a fraction of your investment back.

tx but aready on roi 2 month ago do you know any cheap mptherboard/cpu i can get to replace thise one

AMD GPUs after R9-285/380, basically R3xx and up won't display the Dell BIOS resolution. No known Cure. 7xxx series cards work, and their R9, and R7 clones. In the E520 in my sig. I have to hit F1 to get past the issue with the R9-285. But I'm still locked out of my Locked BIOS. I don't knmow how much room there is in a Opti390 but I would look for Nvidia and an ITX if space is an issue.

If you replace the motherboard then you'll also need to buy another copy of Windows.

Do yourself a favour and stop. You're pouring money into a crap pre-built computer and the chances of you earning anything from mining, even enough to cover your current expenditure, is almost certainly zero.

I disagree. A big PSU, aor GPU can be moved to a newer build later.
But dual GPU work stations are cheap and can come with an OS. Dell T3400, T3500. Be sure and get one with a 525W or higher PSU. The 375W supports one 6 pin GPU. for 2x 8pin GPUs an aftermarket PSU will be needed.

Hello,

I have dell optiplex 390 miniDT, running bios A11 (last on DELL page) and I'm unable to make more than one GPU working... I have option multiple GPUs checked in BIOS, I tried all possible combinations even one described here (to use port 2,3,4). Non is working. I'm using W10pro.
When I put all 3 cards in those slots and use onboard card for monitor (HDMI) nothing works, even I try to press F1, PC wont start / it just runs with black screen and never reaches windows (I have teamviewer on it, but it never gets online)

Could you share what special settings are you using?

by ' main port of board' did you mean the VGA port ?

The older Dell BIOS is incompatible with AMD GCN3 and up GPUs. They can't display the Dell VESA mode 103 BIOS screen. Sometimes you get error 43, sometimes they just won't boot. This applies to R9-3xx (+285) cards and newer. R9-2xx, R7, and HD series should work. I know this is an old thread, but it's unsolved, and is a common issue.
