q6600 vs i5 3450

Solution
Looks like their "winner" algorithm is broken as their performance numbers show the i5 scoring 50-110% higher than the Q6600 does in all tests. As Mart wrote, the i5 leaves the Q6600 in the dust.

As for running GTAV at an "astonishing rate", that depends on what your definition of "astonishing" is. An R5-240 is far from being an "astonishing" GPU to have, it would be barely playable by most people's standards at anything but lowered resolution and details.

I5 3450 is far superior to the Q6600 no question about it. The Q6600 is decent for very low budget builds but it in no way competes with any semi-modern I5.
About your second question, I do not see another question and assuming you are saying you have an I5-3450 then; No, it is not an upgrade by going from the I5 to the Q6600.

CPUboss.com is an inaccurate and untrustworthy source when comparing CPUs.

I hope this helps, good luck.

Not seeing anything particularly wrong with their comparison. As usual they compare a lot of irrelevant numbers, but the benchmark scores are quite telling.

In simplest terms, comparing the non-overclocked Q6600 to an i5-3450 is going to be a huge gap. Even when you run them at similar frequencies the 3450 is much newer, better architecture, higher transistor count, and smaller process node. DDR3 vs DDR2, and all the other motherboard features that H77/H67 etc offer over the older P series boards.

Scroll down, it says the winner is the Q6600.

That total disconnect is just yet another reason CPUboss is absolutely useless. Worse than useless actually, as it confuses people who don't know better.
