From CPU benchmark:

Athlon X4 860K -
"Rank" 521
CPUMark score All cores/ 1 core
5471/1596

Athlon X4 870K -
"Rank" 545
5275/1556

Athlon X4 860K -
"Rank" 509
5548/1631

Now I expect 870K to outperform 860K.
A logical reason for the given data and ranking could be sample size of 798 for the 860K vs 24 for the 870K.
Or am I missing something that makes the 860K outperform the 870K?

Clocks speeds ? or maybe efficiency ? I dont think the performance of these Cpus is going to be very different. What are you trying to understand ? I dont think you could see any difference in game or any thing else

I was just curious if there was something about the 870K that I was not aware of that ranked it below the 860K.
But it seems that my assumption was correct - the 870K is better the the 860K, it's only ranked lower than the 860K due to the lower number of user submitted data points.
