Best monitor and GPU for gaming

I'm in the market for a new monitor, but I know i'll need a new GPU because i know it won't push an ultra-wide. I wanted a dual monitor setup but decided against it and decided to opt for an ultra-wide. So far i've liked this one the best- https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824025514&cm_re=34%22_ultra_wide-_-24-025-514-_-Product But i'm not sure open for suggestions. As of now i have a 4gb 960, and know ill need an update for that.
Specs: i5-6600, GTX 960, 8GB ram, CX550

I think you should wait a bit until the apocalypse is over.
And then you could even buy a 1070 for that price tag I think.
