I recently ran into some trouble since i accidentally downloaded something wrong. I fully removed this virus through all kinds of anti-viruses but just to make sure i formated my pc through windows clean installation disk since i don't have much files i use anyway and i thought it would be nice to make it 'fresh' again. So i inserted my windows 7 home premium installation disk and set it as priority in the BIOS. The installation went fine just ran into some little stuff like windows cannot download on this disk. I fixed that through some googling and with the help of cmd and it started downloading and it even fully completed. But when i reboot after it fully completed and should boot up windows 7 it says "reboot and select proper boot device or insert media in selected boot device and press a key." I tried to set my Hard disk as priority again since people on the net said that could be the problem for others but that didn't fix it. Now the problem is this. I don't have the installation disk of my msi drivers anymore i've lost it somewhere. I thought that might be the problem since it's quite logical if i formated everything on my pc. So i put it on my USB, the msi drivers for my motherboard, the A78M E35 all of the drivers and bios. But whenever i try to set it as priority or even re-do my installation to browse my drivers pre installation "i just get an error that A required CD/DVD driver is missing" So basicly it doesn't recognize the files on my usb, the drivers i put on there instead of my msi disk which i've lost. It's inserted in a 2.0 port everytime and i've tried various methods to get it detecting nothing worked so any solutions please? So basicly i think the only thing that's downloaded on my pc or the only thing i have access to is the windows 7 home premium x64 installation cd which downloads perfectly fine but at reboot i get this problem/error. Is it even true if i get the msi drivers downloaded or find the cd this problem will be solved can someone shed some light on this topic and tell me what the problem could be or what i should do. Sorry for the poor formatting stuck on various problems with this clean installation for 3 days. Getting one step further everytime by fixing one error or one problem by googling for hours and hours till midnight and then just ending stuck. Tried literally every possibility and now i simply have no other clue other than spend my time to just find the disk. Thank you in advance.

I'm not sure you are using the word download correctly but nonetheless I'll guide you through what you should be doing.

Step 1: go into bios and set everything to default (making sure your HDD is the first boot device)

Step 2: remove all plugged in media, only the power cable, video out and mouse/keyboard should be plugged in. Disconnect any WiFi cards and/or unplug Ethernet. (Do this while PC is off)

Step 3.1: insert windows installation disc and then shut down PC.

Step 3.2: boot up PC and press the keyboard key for boot device selection during post then select DVD drive and then select install>custom install

Step 4: in custom select all partitions (if there is more than one) and delete them leaving only one partition which is the...

Step 5: select new empty partition and continue with install. Before doing this double check that you are not connected to the internet and that the unnecessary stuff is unplugged from computer.

Step 6: when installation completed and boots you into windows desktop only plug in WiFi/Ethernet to connect to internet then proceed to control panel and then Windows update. Go through the long and painful process of installing updates, restarting and checking for more updates repeating this process until there are no more updates. Then proceed to install 3rd party drivers for things like motherboard, graphics etc. Download latest drivers for all of these things and do not use ones from a disc. After that everything should be fine for you.

2 things : does this have to go down on my thread, lol. And the other if i boot from hdd the cd won't even start that's one thing i don't understand. Another thing ur saying the whole problem of my pc not being able to boot win 7 properly is because of one ethernet cable plugged in because i've followed these steps already ofc not the first one because i don't get it and it feels like you dont get my problem. I'm not trying to be rude just need some help asap on the subject im asking for since this is already done on my part and it didnt work

Sorry John. Change the boot order of devices in bios to HDD first. When you boot up the PC from being off (and with the windows disc already in the disc drive) your post screen will pop up with your motherboard manufacturer logo and it will tell you to press a specific keyboard key to go to setup (bios) and to press a different key to manually choose a boot device. Press that keep and then select the disc drive and then do the whole press a key to boot from cd thing

As for unplugging from the internet and removing devices like flash drives, external hard drives and WiFi cards is to
1) keep windows from trying to download updates during install which can cause problems
And
2) extra plugged in devices that are unnecessary can also cause issues during install
