Ok Guys So I have a Dell stock psu 300 Watts, i3 4170, gtx 1050 and cd/dvd drive. I just bought a Gigabyte GA-X150M-PRO ECC motherboard. I also bought a i5 7600k processor, will this bios need to be updates in order for me to use it with this cpu ????? cause i dont have a older cpu to fit this motherboard. I noticed my ram was only DDR3 when this board only supports DDR4 i was wondering can i use this motherboard still ? AND I powered my pc up without ram and it shuts back down and repeats is that cause it had no ram ? OR because I dont have a good enough psu or are these parts not compatible ?? Because some people boot without ram (no disaplay) but their pc doesnt shut down and restart it self. and the drive is a long ways to the store and its very tiring if i cant use this mother board with the cpu i need to know before i leave tomorrow :(

(Update) I shut my pc down and unplugged it and took the ram out and it just turned on without a display of course. BUT with the gigabyte x150m pro ecc and the i5 7600k without ram it has no display of course BUT it shuts down then restarts and then repeats ....what do i do ?

Friend, the thing is that 110/150/170 chipsets may require a BIOS update in order to use a 7th gen. (Kaby Lake) processor. Some motherboards comes with the updated BIOS.
What you should do is, send an e-mail or call the merchant whom you are buying the board from and ask them whether the board comes with an updated BIOS to support Kaby Lake processors.
If not, then you should contact the nearest service center of the concerned vendor to get the BIOS update done.

The motherboard you specified supports only 6th and 7th generation Intel Core processors.
The i3-4170 is a fourth gen. processor and so it is not compatible. the i5-7600K is a 7th gen. processor and is therefore compatible.
The motherboard supports only DDR4 memory and the CPU too uses a DDR4 memory controller. So, only DDR4 memory modules are supported by the motherboard. You need to insert a DDR4 module into the motherboard to POST, i.e. for the PC to turn on.
