PC RAM and Graphics Card Upgradation

I don't have the money to build a PC, but I would like to upgrade my old one, at least from 4GB ram to 8GB and maybe the graphics card. My only issue is that I don't know what is compatible and what is not. Here are some pictures from CPU-Z.

The cards I recommended are quite small, would just take a little measuring of the inside of your case and checking the dimensions of the GPU from the manufacturer.

There is no guarantee that newer cards will work in older systems, particularly OEM machines. I've often found that the vendor's forums will often have success/fails posted by end users who have already tried. I'm quite certain the 900 series and up from Nvidia have a somewhat unreliable history with backwards compatibility. Some would only work once the OS was running for example, meaning it was next to impossible to build a new system with a new card and older parts. All comes down to the switch from the old style BIOS to UEFI.

AMD has a better backwards compatibility...

Matching memory is always best, but you should just be able to pick up some more DDR2 800, assuming you have free slots. If the slots are full, just pick up a new memory 2x4GB memory kit. That may be difficult to find new.

Something like the RX550 or GT1030 would make a reasonable upgrade to the GT440. There is some risk the GT1030 won't work though. Possibly a used GTX750Ti would be more compatible.

Thank you for your answer! I started looking around for what you said, and i found 8GB 4X2GB DDR2-800MHz for a resonable amount, but im more concerned about the graphics card. Will the RX 550 or the GTX750Ti be supported by my curent system? I don't want to waste any money, because i don't have much of it anyway.
And one more thing, my pc is a HP Pavilion m9000 series, it's very old (this thing new costed 1000$ in 07 or 08, believe it or not, i still have the receipt), and the case is quite tight, i'm not sure if the graphics card will fit or not.
Thank you again.

AMD has a better backwards compatibility success rate from what I have seen, but there are no real guarantees when you go back too far. OEMs tend to not make many BIOS releases for the motherboards they sell, so while you would find more support from one of the board vendors, you won't see as much from Dell/HP etc.
