Hello. When I insert a second ram stick into my computer, the computer doesn't boot. Everything turns on, but there is nothing on the screen. Please help me, I assume it's something with the bios settings. These are my important specs

Intel Core i7 7700K 4.2GHz Quad-Core Processor

Asus Maximus IX Hero Atx LGA1151 Motherboard

Corsair - Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3000 Memory

I assume you bought a single kit, not two separate sticks which may be incompatible.
Test each stick individually with memtest86+.
You should be able to complete a full scan with NO errors.

Then, test a known good stick in each of the slots to check for possible slot damage.

I really doubt that you need anything past the default bios settings.

Try your original ram in 2nd slot and see if it works (no ram in currently used slot). Then try new ram in 1st slot and see if it works. If 1st module works in slot 2 and new module wont work in slot 1 its faulty ram, if old ram wont work in slot 2 on its own, its faulty board or processor.

Then try each module you have individually in each slot.
Test Module A in Slot 1..
Test Module A in Slot 2..
Test Module B in Slot 1...
Test Module B in Slot 2..

If both modules work in 1 slot, then that slot is OK.
If only 1 module works in both slots then the non-working module is faulty.
this will give you a definitive answer as to the cause of the issue (slot or module fault).
