Here is my semi-list of what pc specs I want.

I was just wondering what is the best PC case and power I need for this.

Processor - Intel core i7-7700k
£339.00 - £350.00

Motherboard - Z270 Motherboards
£100 - £150

Memory - 16GB RAM
£60 - £100

Graphics processing unit - GTX 1080 ti 11gb
£650 - £750

Storage - 1TB Samsung SSD
£225 - £300

Power supply -

Case -

Is there anything else that I need for my pc to run smoothly? I heard I need a fan and that there is also no point in sound cards?

Quick question - If I am going to only get one monitor is these specs really overkill? I want to spend not too much money. Do I need a GTX 1080 ti 11gb? or could I just get a 1080 ti 3gb?

I also heard that the best choice is to get a Hard drive and a SDD? is that true?

Your parts are fine. Its not necessarily overkill to have 1 monitor and a 1080ti, its overkill if that monitor is 1080p resolution. Fans are really an extra thing, most cases come with okay fans that are good enough. Sound cards are really unnecessary. If you're going with 1 monitor that's 1080p then the most you'll need is 1070. Also there is no 1080ti 3gb. I personally like to have an HDD and SSD because more storage but it's a personal preference on whether you want more storage all together. 250gb SSD + 1-2tb HDD is usually enough for me and the average person. You won't need more than a 550w power supply so you can look at some options like Evga G2, Seasonic, Corsair CXM. And some cases I personally like are from Phanteks, Cooler Master, and NZXT

What is your overall budget for the tower only???

but wouldnt my parts explode if I was running games like CSGO, Minecraft, GTA 5 and FPS games?

I think you meant 1000. But then the parts you have listed is already around 1550 GBP. Surely you cannot build that kind of rig for 1000GBP.

Edit: I think there has been a misunderstanding here. By tower i didnt mean the case. I meant the entire pc without monitor and peripherals.

On Other Parts that you Need
Aside from the power supply and case, you'd need an aftermarket CPU cooler for that i7-7700K, as it doesn't come with a stock cooler out-of-the-box. You would need some additional case fans if the case you will get does not include ample quantity of pre-installed fans or if the pre-installed case fans are not to your liking. More often than not, 2x to 3x intake fans (at higher airflow) + 2x exhaust fans (at lesser airflow) would suffice. No need for sound cards (unless you are doing professional audio work), as most motherboards come with good quality audio codecs.

On GTX 1080 Ti using One Monitor
The main reason for getting a GTX 1080 Ti (11GB) is to game on a single monitor at a resolution and refresh rate of either 1440p/144Hz+ or 4K/60Hz in AAA gaming Ultra Settings. Anything lower than those resolution/refresh rate, the GTX 1080 Ti would be overkill. Not sure what you meant by "or could I just get a 1080 ti 3gb?"... are you, perhaps, referring to a GTX 1060 3GB?

If so, the GTX 1060 3GB is a mid-high video card for 1080p/60Hz gaming only. It'll definitely struggle on higher resolution and/or refresh rates in AAA games at Ultra Settings.

On Hard Drives and SSDs
As you already know, a 1TB SSD costs a lot. Most choose to pair an SSD with an HDD for its good price/performance ratio: a lower-capacity but expensive SSD (to be used as a System Drive) with a higher-capacity but very affordable HDD (to be used for General Storage, Files/Movies and Games). The SSD definitely helps in decreasing boot-up times, loading times (in games and applications), and transferring/copying/extracting/accessing large files, but, during gameplay you won't notice a significant difference between an SSD and an HDD. Of course, the SSD has its advantage of having less power consumption, less heat, smaller footprint/size, and no noise/no mechanical moving parts.

Thank you so much!

When 1080 ti 3gb I meant like a 1080 ti but with less GB ram.
Also I want my dad to buy all of the parts apart from the GPU and also consider that I want to buy all of these parts during Black Friday if they are for sale.

You said I only need a 1080 ti 11gb only if I am going to get a 144ghz monitor, I looked online and I am defo not willing to spend like £300 on a monitor.

All I was is to be able to play FPS games and other games at good FPS on alright settings. I don't need ultra settings...

Probably about £600 - £800 for the GPU only and about £800- £1000 for the rest of the parts most likely

Also would a mid tower do the job or do I need a full tower?

This is all the games I want to buy when I get a gaming PC.
Do you think my PC spec will be able to handle those games?

What i have listed above should be ideal to what you have stated. But then again, Black Friday is a long way from now and there will be newer components and different prices around that time. So its better that you reach out to us agin before you are actually ready to purchase so that we can suggest the best parts at that point of time.

Ok, thanks for the help, also is the intel i9 worth it? the i9 is about 1k and the i7 7700 is max £300

If you are building this for gaming then i9 is a bad idea. Wait for Intel Coffee Lake which should have a good 20% to 30% performance jump over Kabylake. It should also launch around that Black Friday time.

ok, what are i9's used for? government stuff? high end companies?

Multithreaded apps and intense compute work. They excel in tasks which involve softwares and apps which require multiple core scaling and thread utility. Tasks like high octane rendering, modelling, engineering work, editing, game development, so on and so forth.

You put 2 Case fans in the first suggestion? don't you mean 1 and aint they called Fan cases not case fans?

The Fractal Design R5 case has 8 fan mounting locations: 2x 120/140mm at front intake, 1x 120/140mm at rear exhaust, 3x 120/140mm at top exhaust, and 2x 120/140mm at bottom intake.

There are 2x pre-installed case fans when you buy the R5: 1x GP14 Fan at the front and 1x GP14 Fan at the rear. Th GP14 Fans are rated at 1000rpm, 68.4cfm max.

I included 2x additional case fans to increase the airflow inside the R5 case. As I mentioned in my previous reply, "More often than not, 2x to 3x intake fans (at higher airflow) + 2x exhaust fans (at lesser airflow) would suffice."

The 2x additional case fans are the X2 GP14 (which is the same as the GP14 fans, except for the upgraded fan bearings).

Install 2x case fans as intake (at the front) and install 2x case fans as exhaust (one at rear, and one at top). Lower the speed (rpm) of the exhaust fans to create "positive airflow" (i.e., more airflow going in, than going out).

The 4x total case fans would suffice to lower the temperature in a typical air-cooled rig.

Here's a nice test video using different fan quantities/configurations in a typical PC case, and their corresponding temperature readings:

0 Case Fans (Air Cooler Only) = CPU: 71C | GPU: 92C
1 Rear (Exhaust) Fan = CPU: 64C | GPU: 85C
1 Top (Exhaust) Fan = CPU: 65C | GPU: 83C
1 Front (Intake) Fan = CPU: 67C | GPU: 80C
1 Front (Intake) Fan + 1 Rear (Exhaust) Fan = CPU: 60C | GPU: 79C
2 Front (Intake) Fans + 1 Rear (Exhaust) Fan = CPU: 58C | GPU: 77C
2 Front (Intake) Fans + 1 Rear (Exhaust) Fan + 1 Top (Exhaust) Fan = CPU: 55C | GPU: 76C
2 Front (Intake) Fans + 1 Rear (Exhaust) Fan + 2 Top (Exhaust) Fans = CPU: 55C | GPU: 76C
^--- Adding 1 additional top fan (to bring the total to 5 fans) = No effect as using just 4 fans before it

"Case Fan" is the correct term as the word "case" is used as an adjective to describe the word "fan" which is a noun. "Fan Cases" would mean the case is a fan.

Similar to the "CPU Cooler", wherein the noun is the "cooler" and the adjective is the "CPU", which now means, the cooler is to be used for the CPU. When you say "Cooler CPU", that means the CPU is either at a state of lower temperature or just looks awesome.

Absolutely.
