My hp pavilion g7 overheats

Hey everyone i have a problem that is new i never had this problem before i left my laptop without any use for 2 weeks and then after using after that period i have an overheating problem to 90degrees it even when i want to change my windows 8.1 to 10 it shuts down by itself due to overheating i tried cleaning the fan inside but no results... help plz

Be careful. The G7 series is notorious for having failing fans. I had to replace mine in a 2012 model with Ivy Bridge components. When you say you cleaned the fan, did you just blow air into the intake and exhaust ports or did you take it apart and check the fan itself? If only the former, then you may have something blocking the fan intake assembly you can't see. That, or the fan itself is dying.
