Hello Toms.
I recently decided to upgrade, or rather replace my pc build. And this is what i ended up with:

Ryzen 1800x
GA-AB350-Gaming
2x8 gb corsair vengeance lpx cl14 3200mhz
Asus rog 1080 ti
All running on some 700 watts psu that i left in the pc case.

First time booting, everything is running fine. Except for the ram which seems to be stuck at 2133mhz.
Ive read about this and apperantly you have to enable XMP which i tried, but it'd just get stuck in a reboot loop untill it eventualy resets.

I've also tried manually setting it to 3200mhz but had the same results.
Then i downloaded Ryzen Master and tried all speeds between 2400-3200 and only one (partially) worked untill it BSOD'd about 2 minutes after booting.

Ive also noticed some thing else using the Ryzen Master tool, it lists the ram as cl15.

So whats going on here? Is the ram just not conpatible or is it the motherboard thats not working out?

Any ideas to get it to work at its advertised speeds?

I probably should have mentioned that i had already updated the bios to the latest version :c

I managed to find a memory support list which didnt include my ram as supported. So i decided to order a different ram kit for now, (F4-3200C14D-16GFX). One that is on the list and apperantly specialy made for Ryzen.

Ill update if it changes anything.

Just updating.
New ram came in today (f4-3200c14d16GFX). enabled the XMP and it immediatly worked, Running at 3200mhz 14-14-14-34

If i've learned anything from browsing around looking for solutions it's that Ryzen is pretty picky on ram, especially the corsair lpx ones. although i did hear of some having success with these.
They'll generally work but only at the lowest rate. and usually when attemting to use XMP, or manually overclock the system just wont boot.

I suppose its best to not do what i did when buying ryzen. Since I've never really encoutered these ram issues before I figured anything would work, but this isnt the case.
Check your motherboard manufacturer's memory support list to match one that does work, and make sure the BIOS is updated to its latest version.

Generally speaking looking around on the internet, and now from personal experience the G.skill flareX ones appear to have the best compatibility.
