I Have a GTX 970 FTW and a I7 4790K and recently while just playing CSGO, (THATS ALL), my CPU usage as been as high as 50% which makes no sense. I Use to be able to stream but now when i try its laggy so i gave up. The PC came pre-built mayb something isnt inserted right as there are a few extra cables in the PC. Im lost at this point thanks for any help.

Temps seem pretty low, are they equally low when gaming?

See if system is 'laggy' in single player games...

You don't really want to blame your system if your connection is marginal or whatever random server you are connected to can't keep up with 150 fps....

With PC booted all the way, and no browsers open, what is your cpu usage and mem usage under task manager?

Might want to take a look at what all applications are running at startup in Task Manager....

Any way of monitoring your cpu temp while: at the WIndows desktop? and, again, while running a Defender scan?
