Upgrading from i5 6400 to i7 6700K

I was thinking of upgrading my current PC's CPU from an i5 6400 to a i7 6700K, however I am not sure if I will need a new motherboard, or if I should get just the non K version. My PC is a HP Omen 870-195na

Sorry if this seems like an obvious question, I don't know much about PCs.

When dealing with prebuilts, there is no certainty that your mainboard will support CPUs with a higher TDP, or that your case will accomodate a slightly bigger cooling solution....; however, HP's own website does say the 6700 (non-k is also a 65w TDP cpu) is supported....

It's the way'd I'd go if sticking with the same case/MB/PSU....
