So inbuilt a pc. But.. my parents think it's gonna go up in flames and won't let me leave it turned on...

So I've had 2 self but gaming PC's over the last 2 years and all of a sudden (this week) my parents have started turning it off at the wall every time I've been away from it for more than 15 minutes. I mean wtf can u do to persuade them not to do this. Like has anyone had this happen to them? I have a feeling it's not that good for my hardware either but they don't seem to see that as a legitimate reason....

Yes, PC's have 'blown up'.
Highly unlikely, but it does happen. You don't want me to link some utube vids of PSU's exploding, do you?

But with rational quality parts, it is no more likely to 'blow up' than any other piece of electronics in the house. Like the TV.

Ultimately, though...this is a social issue. All you can do is talk to them.

Yeah I guess that's all true, was hoping for some great way to talk them out of it but hey ho I guess I can carry in dreaming :D. They also seem worried that the 3 WiFi routers I installed will burn down the house too so looks like if got a loyal talking ahead...
