Just benchmarked my processor after seeing it struggle with some games and noticed that Single Threaded benchmark is ok (but still lower than others) the multi thread was struggeling alot.

My Benchmark showed 6000 - 6200 while others run at 8000+ (http://valid.x86.fr/bench/mw4n3j/8 CPU-Z Official benchmarks)

I have Overclocked my processor with the help of a video since i do not have great knowledge but i have some.

Any help is appreciated of course, Thank you :)

Well your memory speed is low and your overclock is low. So those speeds seem about right. You can see what I'm running in the box below. Last I checked my cpuz benchmark multithread was about 8700. Truth is though, as long as you get what you want out of your computer why give a rats butt what the benchmarks are?

Also cpuz benchmarks are somewhat meaningless.

Core speed is 4.2 GHz
Motherboard is Gigabyte Z170-Gaming K3
And by Memory speed i assume you mean RAM? I have 8 GBs of 2133 MHz DDR4

True that, but part of the problem is that im not quite happy with the performance of the CPU, any tips on overclocking? I have the Noctua L12 Cooler for my CPU and im thinking about getting another set of RAM, (2133 + 2400 16 GB in total) however im unsure if this is a good idea :)

You never mentioned your video card or what games your playing.

As far as the memory goes if you by a different speed it will all default to 2133 anyway. If all your doing is gaming the 8gb is enough. Though of course 16 gb is always better. you could probably overclock your memory with Memory Multiplier Tweaker in the bios to 2400mhz and possibly higher without adverse effects.

As far as overclocking your cpu goes, I think 4.3ghz is fine with the Noctura. I do need to as though, is that 42 to 47c at idle or at load?

At 100% Load it is 47c ish and i have a gtx 970 clocked at 1400 MHz. I found out that the memory usage was always above 80% when i was gaming so thats why im considering it

Do you think i should buy another set of 2133 and OC it?

That is your call to make as far as the memory goes. I would probably overclock it to 2400mhz.

If that is 47c at load you could probably go for 44ghz with a slight raise of the vcore and multiplier. The question is how do you know that is the max temp. You can use this program running in the background while playing to find out what it is after a demanding game.
