Hello all,
Over the past few weeks my internet has been intermittently dropping at random times throughout the day. Every time I run the troubleshooter it gives "The DNS server is not responding". Thus far Charter has been out twice in the last week and have replaced the modem (new Arris TM1602) and the cable running from the splitter to the modem itself (the cable to the house was replaced and buried roughly two years ago). That made no difference so I went ahead and replaced the router with a Netgear Nighthawk AC1750, still no change. It only drops for roughly 30 seconds to a minute, just long enough to interrupt whatever I am doing. I have tried using Google's DNS servers as well and it did not help. Any help at this point would be much appreciated.
Thanks!
This happens on wired and wireless connections and I also notice the Online light on the modem shuts off when the problem starts.
