Hi there, I want to upgrade my 9-year-old PC but I have a budget of $400 max. I will be using it for 95% gaming. my current PC is an Intel Q6600 Core 2 Quad with GPU MSI R9 380. For now, I would like to upgrade my cpu, motherboard, and ram only. Could you guys suggest what is the best combo that I can get for $400 that would still give me an upgrade path in the future. I have wasted a lot of money in the past doing upgrades on my own. So I really wanted to hear the suggestion from you guys about what should I upgrade into. Thanks in advance.

This gives you a decent upgrade path. You can add an m.2 SSD later and some PCIe cards.
