Hi guys,i'm planning to build a new pc and I was wondering if a cooler is needed if lets say i want to overclock my cpu. This is some of the specs in trying to look for:
Gigabyte Z270-hd3p
Intel i7-7700k
Gigabyte gtx1070 6gb
Hyper x fury 2666Mhz 2x8gb
Nzxt s340 case
Evga 550w psu
Samsung 850 evo 250gb ssd
WD 1TB HDD
As for the coolers i have not decided what to use, any suggestion or improvement would be greatly appreciated!!

Yes... You will definitely need a heatsink. I have a 6700k and I run a Corsair H110i that does great. There are some awesome air coolers as well that are often less expensive. But you will definitely need something even to run period.
