Is my usb flash drive corrupted?

Hello, yesterday i moved around 2k photos to a 30gb usb flash drive I had lying around. The usb flash drive has been a little slow at times. After i moved them over to the usb stick, i deleted them from my computer.
But the next day, when i plugged in the usb stick back into my pc, the main folder that all the photos were in, just had been changed to a "file". That file itself is a lot smaller than all the pictures compared in size. But when i search in the search bar for *.* which will show all the files in the flash drive, alot of .CHK files appear. I have heard that these are recovery files, and I tried to move them over to my pc. At first the process is going smoothly, but after a short time it says that it is moving 0 bytes/second, and the remaining time is just increasing and increasing.

What can i do to recover the files from the usb stick? Is there anything i can do or any program i can install that lets me see recently moved/deleted files on my pc?

I am really upset that tthe pictures are gone and i realize that i made a big mistake moving them to a flash drive :/

Thanks in advance!

Solution
Try getdataback. There is an option to recover deleted files.

But ... the more you write to the disk, the less probability for successful recovery
(because your deleted files will get overwritten).

I installed Getdataback and managed to recover the pictures after a few hours. I can't thank you enough for suggesting to use that program :)

Yeah, i checked through the pictures and noticed that two of them were corrupted. But that is no big deal.

Thanks for your help :)
