Hey guys, i have a 4gb ram ddr3 right now, But when I play games like Outlast 2 or Mortal Kombat X I'm experiencing some stuttering and fps dropping. For example i have 50-55 fps while playing OL2 But suddenly, it starts going down to 15-20 fps. If I upgrade my ram, will it improve my performance or remove the stuttering? Thanks!

Other Specs:
GPU: Gtx 1050 2gb Oc
CPU: INTEL i5-3340

4GB of RAM might meet the minimum requirements for both of those games, but they also both recommend having 8GB. Windows itself, along with drivers and so on, are likely to use over a GB, so you may be cutting things close at 4GB. And of course, they're assuming you're not leaving any other programs running, since some software, like web browsers, can be memory hogs. When there isn't enough RAM for the game, things will start getting traded out to virtual memory on the hard drive, which can definitely cause stutters and performance issues.

Of course, you didn't mention your system's other specs, so without knowing those, it could easily be something else too, but it's definitely a good idea to have at least 8GB of RAM to play modern...

Does that 2292 include whatever Windows uses? Does it also include the pagefile?
Memory speed is approx 5 gigabytes/sec. If you run out of memory, your PC will use pagefile which is your harddrive and that is slow. Approx 100 megabytes/sec so 50 times slower. That of course causes lag and stutter.
