Hello, I am on a new pc build and I am looking to set my ddr4 memory to 3000 or as close as opossible. I have EVGA 16gb 3000 ram, and an msi x370 gaming pro carbon motherboard. I Tried setting the frequency to 2933 (as close as it goes to 3000) and changing the dram voltage to 1.35V(my ram voltage), but it said my overclock settings have failed so i just eneded up back in the bios. I think i need to change the timings of the ram, but I am not aware how to do that because when i go to change them, there are 5 numbers to change instead of four. I know the timings i need to use(15 16 16 35), just not sure which timings to replace.
I know this was long :), but hopefully one of you can help me, thanks.

Solution
^ no don't use the screen grab timings , they're for 2133mhz & will fail instantly.

Try the loosest timings shown in CPU , for 3000 or 3200mhz.
That should get you stability & you can look at tinkering with them once you have a stable boot at 2933mhz.
SPD.jpg

Open up cpu-z & find the timings list for 3000mhz
As per the image
There are 5 values as you said

Change speed to 2933 & use the timings from that 3000 tab.

At the moment it's probably using 2666 timings which are too tight .

Is there not a ' memory try it!' Option on that boards bios ??
