my first build is it good ?

Solution
A very good build, you need change nothing.
Some thoughts:

1. Unless you plan on storing large files such as videos, defer on the hard drive, you can always add one later.

2. 500w is ok for a GTX1080, but that particular EVGA psu is not one of their better units.
Here is a tier list:

Seasonic is always good.
This S12II 620w unit is $35 after rebate:

3. You get stronger wifi reception with an antenna. Look into a pcie add in adapter card.

4. Do you already have a case??

Add bit more to budget and go for it. It is very powerful performer.
Add HDD in few months when you have $50 to spend. That SSD will satisfy the requirements for few months.

Any Z270 based motherboard will do the job.
Higher priced motherboards will have options such as premium sound, sli capability and record seeking overclock options such as ln2 capability and monitoring points.

I would avoid sli options. GTX1080 is more than enough for gaming at 1080P
Be sure to register your EVGA card. That gives you a better warranty and enables the free 90 day trade up option if you should decide to upgrade to a GTX1080ti. Read the fine print on their web site.

You might consider a smaller M-ATX size motherboard if you want a more compact case.

Well GTX1080 is enough. It depends even GTX1070 is enough to get 60fps+ but getting 60fps+ for now and getting it for a longer period of time are different matters. GTX1080Ti is giving 25% better fps at 1080p than GTX1080 so when you consider it on a long run GTX1080Ti is definitely a better option to go for.

Yes SLI is not important.

Case that is the best for that budget range. Going for smaller compact case also has drawbacks first the airflow. Second it is not easy to work with especially cable management is hard. Third good quality small form factor case costs more.

I beg to differ on the merits of a small M-ATX case.
I use a Silverstone TJ-08E which has only a single 180mm front intake fan.
I run a I5-7600K @4.9 and a GTX1080ti.
The front fans run on slow speed and the cpu cooler is a noctua NH-U12s also running on slow speed.
A more compact case channels the airflow more effectively.

some people are saying the motherboard isnt compatible with the i7 7700k it needs bois update

Te incompatibility and requirement of bios upgrade is for 100series boards like Z170 which were released with Skylake. The new 200series boards like Z270 come with preinstalled bios which supports Kabylake. I listed a Z270 board which not cause any kind of problem.

oh ok,but is gtx 1080ti worth it ??? i mean i am only gonna play on 1080p for now gtx 1080 will do it for me dont you think ?

Have you considered a ryzen build & a 27inch 1440p 75htz screen rather than 1080p 144htz?

For me personally that's the gaming sweet spot.

Definitely GTX1080Ti is worth it. Even at 1080p GTX1080Ti is completely worth it. Let me give you an example. My friend has GTX690 and 900p combo. Till date 90% games he play he is able to run them at very high-ultra setting and get 60fps avg. GTX690 is 5Yrs old. If he went for lower end model then he would have required to upgrade it at-least once which when combined budget goes up. Trust me GTX 1080Ti is worth it even at 1080p.

hmmm i dont really want to pay 130+ extra just for 1440p and with 75hz and about the ryzen 5 1600 i am pretty sure its not better than the i7 7700k

No the ryzen 1600 isn't better just at gaming than an i7 7700k once its overclocked.

Its $100 less though & does not require aftermarket cooling.

Monitor ? That's a personal thing , I would much rather have a 27 inch 1440p screen running at 75htz locked than a 24 inch 1080p running anywhere between 70 & 120fps.

If you want 144htz you really want a g gsync screen IMO & they run $400+.

I'd take the 1440p personally.
