I have a Toshiba c660-2JT with a Core i5-2450M processor. It has 2 ram ports, and according to toshiba specs , the limit for each port is 4GB, and total is max 8GB for the motherboard. i removed the two 2GB ram sticks and replaced it whit a single A-Tech 8GB ram stick, so the computer is now runing 8GB Ram. The computer booted, windows can se all the 8GB ram and everything works fine and the computer is super fast, i even checked the ram with the windows tool, and windows told me there is no ram error, so i have to ask the pros in this forum, is there any chance the motherboard can get demaged from runing the 8Gb stick in the 4GB slot?
