My first pc build in 10 years, gigabyte ab350 gaming, to save $ I got a win7 oem disc. USB did not work on install with dvd, I created a usb install with usb 3.0 drivers for win7 using dism. Windows installed but after reboot usb mouse and keyboard do not work on the configuration, i.e computer name screen. I tried a usb to ps2 adapter, and 2 different ps2 keyboards, one brand new, nothing works. Does this mean I need to return the motherboard as ps2 port not working, or is this still a driver issue? TIA for any and all responses!

That motherboard supports Windows 10 not Windows 7. You going to have problems getting USB to work with Windows 7.

Gigabyte specs:
Operating System

1.Support for Windows 10 64-bit
2.Support for Windows 7 64-bit
* Please download the "Windows USB Installation Tool" from GIGABYTE's website and install it before installing Windows 7.

I believe Microsoft has stopped supporting Windows 7 versions.

Ryzen is not supported on Windows 7. You will have problems with it. However to get the motherboard and mouse to work in Windows go into the bios and enable usb legacy support. Also go into ps2 devices support and enable for startup and OS.

I have the same problem with an ASRock AB350 Pro mobo. My mouse and keyboard work until my Windows 7 disk loads Windows onto the hard drive then the mouse and keyboard quit working. Both are USB. I assume the Windows 7 drivers that are loaded do not work with this mobo. I downloaded the usb install tool from ASRock to a thumbdrive but I am unable to install it before installing Windows 7 as Calvin7 said to do. Please explain how to load the install tool before loading Windows 7 from a disk. Thanks
