Sony TV turns on but is unresponsive?

Hi guys, I have an old Sony Bravia kdl-46s4100 model from 2009, and today might be the day where it dies. Anyway, the problem is that the TV seems frozen even though I can turn it on and off, its unresponsive to any other signal. The screen turns on like normal.

Have you tried using different HDMI inputs and even different HDMI cables? Possibly even connecting it to an output device with the old RGB/component cables with optical out or S-video? Just need to rule out there's an input failure somewhere and it's not the actual TV itself (bad board, failing power supply, etc.).

But that TV should have lasted a lot longer than eight years. I still use my 2008 LG 1080p LCD and 2005 720p Plasma HDTVs. Both were daily users for many years before being put out to the basement pasture. I remember your model as it was one I was looking at before selecting the LG which was less.
