So, i kinda twisted my laptop charger near the part where it plugs into the laptop (Dell latitude e7440). this resulted in a weird electrical sound and the laptop turned off. the charger stopped working, the laptop didn't turn on for a while but did eventually, i then used it normally. then the battery ran out. i then went to get another charger i had and plugged it into my laptop. nothing happened though, no lights or anything, the laptop wont turn on either. I know the charger works as i tried it another dell laptop i have. i don't think it's anything to do with the battery either as it was working fine when the laptop turned back on, maybe the charging port is damaged, there's no physical damage on the outside tho. Someone plz help mehhhhh.

is it a dell charger like dell branded charger?

newer dell laptops require dell charger i don't know what the hell they do but i was caught trying to sell after market charger on a dell and it wouldn't charge the system what so ever. i used a dell original that has the blue ring on the plug and it works absolutely fine.

i guess they mark the chargers with something.
