I just built a new computer and ran a Prime95 small FFT. Idle temperatures were 32 degrees celsius while ambient temperatures was 22 degrees Celsius. On running Prime95, the temperature immediately jumped to 75 degrees Celsius and continued to increase until it reached 99 degrees Celsius. I'm using a CoolerMaster MasterLiquid Pro 240 for cooling. I have not overclocked. The motherboard is a MSi z270 gaming m5. The pump is running at 2700RPM and is plugged into the CPU_FAN header. The fans are also running at 2100 RPM and are plugged into the SYS_FAN header. The case is a Corsair SPEC ALPHA with 3 case fans(2 in the front, 1 at the back). I also tried reseating the heat sink but to no avail. Please help

One things for sure, that cooler is not keeping up...
Can you try a fresh but thin layer of quality thermal paste? (Arctic Silver 5, Liquid Metal, etc...)
My own 7700K's temps stopped climbing at 71-73C after 10 minutes using a Noctua NH-D15....

type "CpuSupportsAVX=0" in the local file in the prime 95 folder. Those run away temps will disappear. This information I found somewhere in Tom's, don't remember where though.
