Hey my current hard drive is faulty and i think it needs replacing soon, I was told that if i were to replace my HDD with another i would have to repurchase windows? I still have the CD from when i first bought my windows 8 but my current rig doesn't have an input for CDs. Is there a way i can move windows onto my new HDD or SSD? Thanks

Solution
If your occupied space on current partition C (windows) is smaller than your new SSD:
Get EaseUS ToDO backup FREE, install it and click on system backup, chose your new unformatted SSD as the target and wait.
Restart, go into BIOS, set your new SSD as number 1 BOOT priority.
Profit!
