I recently buyed a GTX 1080 to replace my old R9 280 and in games where i expected a biggest performance in FPS im just getting a worst performance like 50 fps less. Now i can play mostly all games in ultra but sometimes it gets laggy ASF. Idk why but its horrible, i have the same setup just changing the case and the graphic card. And it not only happens in games, sometimes my pc crashes on youtube or gets laggy on windows.

MB: MSI Z270 Gaming M5
CPU : Intel i7 7700k
GC: Asus Strix GTX 1080 OC
RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws V DDR4 2400 C15 2x8GB
Watercooling block for the CPU.
2 SSD and 2 HDD

Thats my benchmark : LINK

Any help is appreciated. Thanks, KTd3n.

You most assuredly have a case of botched /remnant driver mess from swapping GPUs....delete all cases of display adapters in cntrl panel/system/device manager, and let desired adapter be freshly detected, tehn install GPU software package, using newest from Asus' website....

To be sure i reinstalled windows 10 and formated my main discs saving the important data in another one.
Now i get this benchmark and i think its fixed.
