i7 4790k and gtx 980ti sc with nex650g psu

Solution
How far you can overclock that cpu lies into how low you can keep temps and thus voltages. For temps would i not like to see above 85C° on the hottest core, for the rest are there enough tutorials online which probably say the same.
You also looked into the extra powerdraw which should be no problem with a quality 650watt psu,but yours is not the best one so how it wil cope you'll just have to see.

Me personally wouldn't bother putting effort in it since the 4790K already has a turbo of 4.4ghz which you might add 200/300mhz to when overclocking for imo too much effort. With a "Z" board should you be able to run all cores on max turbo.
