So about 2 days ago, my internet randomly cut off. I just pulled the plug for the rest of the night, it was late anyways and figured I would solve it the next day. It seemed fine the next day, until I only got an hour of use from it then it DC'd again. I tried waiting for about a half our, then just pulled the plug for about an hour again. Rinse and repeat that day, and today. But today, I reset the router, password & all. Still having problems.

But today, I ran the windows trouble shooting a couple times, it would me it couldn't find the DNS server. But I did this a couple more times, now it says wpad.utopia.net.... and from what I've researched, this is a DNS hijack? So I ran my two AV's, avast and malware bytes. Neither have found anything malicious concerning the network, from what I've tried. So I have no idea what to do now, besides contact the ISP, Comcast, but idk how they would help.

edit: Also manually input ipv6 DNS that I've seen comcast say to put in from a forum post, did not work.

Could be some guy down the street with a backhoe.
Or some idiot ran off the road and took out a junction box.
Or any number of other things.

When it is out....call them. They can test connectivity between them and your house.
