New BIOS Won't Recognize Old HDD

So, after upgrading to a 1080Ti, I decided to plug in everything, without being grounded by an antistatic strap etc. Fried the motherboard, so I got another one of the same model (GIGABYTE Z170-XP SLI). However, this new board has a different BIOS, and it now will not recognize either of my hard drives. I checked already to confirm that my CPU, RAM, GPU, HDDs, etc all work, so I'm not sure what the issue could be. Would reverting from the current BIOS version (F20) to the old version I was using potentially fix this?

Can you explain this? What does that mean?
Did you mean - windows from old hdd would not boot?
Or did you mean that your drives are not detected in BIOS?
Or what?
