Help! NO Video Input: KFA2 GTX1070 and 234E Philips monitor

Hi guys,

I just built my first PC and ready to try it out.
However, my monitor (234E Philips) doesn't recognize my graphic card KFA2 GTX1070.
To no avail, I've bought HDMI to HDMI cable and already selected the HDMI channel in put in my monitor to match the HDMI output of my graphic card. The monitor still show "No video input" message and went to sleep mode.

I took out graphic card several times, ensure that it fits to the slot perfectly (PCI-EX16), restart the computer and monitor and unplug cables many times. What should I do?

do you have power going to the GPU?

@13thmonkey Yup. The GPU has red-color led light when I turn on the computer. The fans aren't spinning yet I guess cause the temperature is still cool? ://

Maybe I should mention my spec here:
Mobo: Asrock Z270 Extreme
Monitor: Philips 234E
GPU: KFA2 Geforce GTX1070
CPU: Intel Core i7-6700k

Have you connected the auxiliary 6-pin/8-pin power cable(s) from the PSU to the graphics card?

Depending on exact card model (there are several in the KFA2 1070 range) it will have either two auxiliary connectors or may only have one).

Is the PSU a quality 450w (or higher) model?

@phillip Thank you for an answer. I did connect both 6 pin and 8 pin cable from PSU to GPU. It comes with two x 6+2 pins cable so there are 2 pin left hanging while 6+2 and 6 were plugged to the GPU. My Graphic card is: KFA2 GTX1070EX, 8GB GDDR5 | 6+8 pin | PCI-E 3.0

My PSU is Corsair CS650M so I guess the power should be more than enough?
Another additional info, I use my Philips 234E monitor with my macbook air laptop recently so it works fine. It just doesn't recognize my video card now as the message "No Video Input" appears. T_T

@phillip I've cleared CMOS, took battery out, change Ram slot and still it doesn't work :/
Maybe my GPU has a problem!?!?

Do you have integrated graphics in that machine? Be nice to get a look at the BIOS at least.

@Tmtowtsac and @phillip -- finally, I've plugged in my PC with my HDMI tv and it works perfectly. I guess now the problem lies with the monitor. So strange that the monitor also work with my other computer but not this new one with GPU KFA2 gtx1070. What should I do to make it work?

Should I update monitor's driver? But how to do it cause my other com is Mac ... :/

And you've tried both?

My current thinking is that phillips have some weirdness going on where it doesn't accept some inputs, but it is a monitor.. You don't have a hdmi 2.0 cable? and it can only deal with 1.4 or similar (shouldn't be an issue, but just in case).
