One day I got home from work, and booted my PC up. Everything started fine, but once I hit the login screen for windows, the computer froze. After a few seconds the computer shut off. So I started it again. Power then bios (the fans start spinning fast at this point) then windows loading screen then dead. Turning it on gives me the same sequence then off. As someone who records a weekly podcast, I couldn't go without this computer, and my only option was to move what I could to my old case with my old CPU and MoBo. To my avail the PC started right up and was fully functional.
So I had determined the culprit was either the CPU (which I have had problems with before) or the Motherboard. I sent my CPU back to AMD and received a replacement. Upon getting the replacement I moved everything back to the newer case and new CPU and MoBo, but I had the same problem. I tried resetting the CMOS, and this got me on for a little longer. Please help me find the problem.
MoBo: Gigabyte FX-990
CPU: AMD FX-9590 with Water Cooling
^^^These are the only things that were not moved to the old case^^^
