I am brand new to the world of building PC's and would like some help and your opinions on my build to make sure everything is compatible.

CPU i7-6800k
CPU Cooler NZXT Kraken x62 280mm
GPU Asus GeForce GTX 1080 TI 11GB GDDR5X Founders Edition
Motherboard MSI LGA 2011-3 Motherboard X99A Goldlike Gaming Carbon
SSD PNY CS1311 120GB
HDD Seagate 4TB 7200rpm
RAM Crosair Vengeance 64GB DDR4 4x16 3200mhz
PSU Thermaltake Toughpower Grand 850W 80 PLUS PLATINUM
CASE Anidees AI-CL-CUVE-W-RGB- EAT/ATX STEEL

Solution
First, plug your parts list into pcpartpicker.com, it will flag incompatibility issues. For instance your mobo and CPU are NOT compatible! Second, for a higher end system, 12GB SSD is too small. Get at least 256GB. Better yet, 512GB. Third, update the CPU to a i7-7xxx series. Last, if you're gaming, 64GB RAM is way too much and a waste of money - 16 to 32GB is fine. If you're doing video editing, then 32 - 64 GB RAM is appropriate.

What CPU would you recommend that would be compatible with that MOBO?

I agree on the RAM but there's nothing wrong with the 6800K. There's not much difference between it and the 7700K.
