I'm going to be building my new rig in about 4 months and I need help finding the right hardware for the rest of build.

At the moment the specs are:
CPU: Intel - Core i7-7700K
CPU Cooler: Phanteks - PH-TC14PE_BK
GPU: Asus - GeForce GTX 1080 Ti
Motherboard: Asus - STRIX Z270-E
Memory: Corsair - Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3200 Memory
Case: Corsair - 750D ATX Full Tower Case
PSU: Corsair - RMx 750W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply

Are there any better alternatives to what I've chosen, or a problem with any of it? I'll wait another pay check if it means being able to get something better.

If you're going to be waiting another 4 months to build, coffee lakes (next intel cpu gen) is coming out in late 2017 and so are AMD's vegas (new gpus) and rumors are nvidia plans to release their voltas (2000 series) around the same time. So if you're going to wait 4 months, wait with the build entirely and see where the prices are then, especially with the video cards.

What about for the CPU though? I don't want AMD at all, only going with Intel. Anything new on the horizon for CPU's?

I'm planning on buying the GPU at a later date anyway as I have a spare decent GPU I can use in the mean time, so I might as well wait for the Volta GPU if it's released early 2017. The initial build though with the CPU and other components I'll get within 4 months so if there is any advice anyone has that'd be great. Because I'll start ordering parts this week.

Volta is released third or fourth quarter 2017, not early. We're already half way in :p
But keep in mind, even if you go with current components, the moment new generation hits the shelves, prices for the stuff that's out right now will drop. You don't really profit by buying them now and not using them for 4 months.

Oh <removed>, sorry I meant early 2018. But if it's late 2017 that's great, I wouldn't even have bought the 1080ti by then anyway so that works out perfectly. And thanks for the tip on holding off on buying the parts just yet. Thanks for the help!

Here's the thing with waiting is that there's always going to be people telling you to wait. There's always going to be something new around the corner. Right now this is kind of a weird time to buy because AMD's new CPUs have been released to raving reviews, while Intel's latest release was an utter disaster. And GPUs have been in a major shortage thanks to coin miners. But if you buy now knowing that you won't be satisfied, same if you buy with the intent of upgrading every year. So if you're going to buy now, buy now. If you're going to wait then keep waiting.
