Is my cpu bottle necking my gpu

I have a i5 2500k with a 1070 8gb card is my cpu effecting the performance or the card.

Full PC Specs:

I5 2500k
24 gb of DDR3 RAM
GTX 1070
256 gig SSD
2 1080p monitors

There's no doubt a 7600k would be better, but for the cost of the new cpu, motherboard and ram, it wouldn't really be worth it, unless you're the type who wants the best they can get. If you haven't already overclocked your 2500k, it...
Your CPU will most likely be the bottleneck....as in, if you had a more powerful CPU you would see higher frame rates. However, we're not talking about a major bottleneck that would be bad enough to cause it to stutter it's way through a game. Also, the i5 2500K is legendary for it's overclocking abilities if it has a good enough cooler.

Do you think it would be worth upgrading to a i5 7600k? The only reason I haven't is because it's not just a cpu upgrade I need a whole new motherboard and ram
 
There's no doubt a 7600k would be better, but for the cost of the new cpu, motherboard and ram, it wouldn't really be worth it, unless you're the type who wants the best they can get. If you haven't already overclocked your 2500k, it might be worth it to buy a good cooler (if you haven't already) and overclock to 4.5GHz. You would see a large improvement just from doing this. There are many good videos on youtube as to how to overclock a 2500k.
