CPU too hot?

Hi, I built my first computer the other day and couldn't help but notice that the cpu temps on idle were at around 45-50 degrees. During light gaming on titles like CS:GO it runs at around 65-75 degrees. Are these normal CPU temps? I'm running an i5 7500 with the stock cooler.

Depends on your ambient temperature. The temps are not in the 'Dangerous' catagory', but they are a bit on the warm side of normal.

Those temps are acceptable. If you are worried about it pick up a Evo 212 and some ic diamond.

Stock cooler, warm environment, typically lousy case airflow with minimal fans or default fan curves etc. Yep, those look normal

yeah your fine, a better cooler will drop temps and be quieter of course.

Thanks all of you. I tried pushing the CPU cooler in a little bit more and the temperatures dropped about 7-8 degrees. Sorry to bother you when my issue was just a mistake of my own. Thanks again
